Show Time for our Edinburgh and Glasgow Choirs

Carrie Mac, Madaleine Pritchard, Scott CowieIf you’re searching for a night out or specifically an evening of truly fantastic live music, well we may just have the answer for you!  Here at Voice of the Town, we’re delighted to be taking part in two fantastic upcoming shows…

First up, Tuesday May 6th, our Edinburgh choir are sharing the bill with some brilliant vocal talent.  Performing at Concert for Sick Kids, Edinburgh’s Voice of the Town will be joined by Scott Cowie, a hugely talented singer songwriter who just recently signed to a recording label in Los Angeles.  Also singing is Madaleine Pritchard, our very own Glasgow MD who also happens to be one of the most in demand session vocalists in Scotland, which has seen her perform with the likes of Sir Tom Jones, Paul Carrack, Al Green, Deacon Blue and The Commitments.  Finally on the bill, we have Carrie Mac, an acclaimed singer songwriter who has supported Alexandra Burke, Eliza Doolittle and The Proclaimers to name just a few. You may well have heard some of her songs being played on BBC Radio Scotland and Radio Forth.  And it’s all for a great cause, The Edinburgh Sick Kids Friends Foundation.  SO GET YOUR TICKETS HERE and come on down to the Edinburgh Minto Hotel and give your ears a treat!

 

And our Glasgow choir are equally thrilled to take part in Movie Sounds For Shelter Scotland just a few days later, on Sunday, May 11th.Glasgow's Voice of the Town, Melanie Masson, Tom Urie, Shelter Scotland Performing alongside the phenomenal voice that is Melanie Masson of the X Factor, and who has just been lined up to perform in an upcoming theatre show with John Barrowman, we’re delighted to take part.  We’re also delighted to say that we’ll be sharing the stage with Tom Urie, of BBC’s River City.  The event promises to be an amazing night of music with our Glasgow Voice of the Town performing a range of classic songs from the movies.  And it’s all in the magnificent settings of the Cottier Theatre in Glasgow’s West End.  And if all that weren’t enough, the evening is in of Shelter Scotland, via Andy Haldane’s Breakfast In The Garden challenge for the charity.  GET YOUR TICKETS HERE and we’ll see you there!
