To celebrate VOTT’s 10th anniversary since forming in the city in 2011, the North East’s funkiest choir, Newcastle’s Voice of the Town Choir, is back with its biggest, most exciting and most rockin’ show to date… Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us.
Pre-Covid, and in 2019 alone, the choir performed at a huge range of festivals, shows and top events, including backing Take That (alongside Lulu) at Arena Birmingham and Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium in front of sell-out crowds of 15,000 and 30,000+, respectively. That all culminated in its fantastic sold-out show, What We Do, in November of that year.
Since then, the choir continued rehearsing online for much of 2020, releasing EPIC multiscreen videos along the way. In 2021, and following lockdown ending, it’s already performed on the main stage at Lindisfarne Festival and Festival by the Sea, with more to come.
And now, featuring fantastic songs from Gospel, Soul/Funk, RnB and Pop/Rock with stunning, powerful harmonies, original and exciting vocal arrangements and foot-stomping grooves, the North East’s funkiest soul/rock choir brings its latest, powerhouse, must-see show.
With some of the region’s very best musicians accompanying live, as well as a top support act to open the show, all that’s left is to get your tickets, come on down, grab some drinks from the bar and see just why there Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us…
